IMTEX 2025 draws record business visitors and reinforces its status as the leading global machine tool and manufacturing technology exhibition
Groundbreaking innovations, cutting-edge technologies, high-productivity solutions, digital transformations, and new product launches from 1,100 exhibitors engrossed a record 1,33,166 business visitors from 70 countries who attended IMTEX 2025. According to IMTMA, while the exhibition generated enquiries worth Rs.37,700 crores, the participants booked orders to the tune of Rs.3,500 crores.
IMTEX 2025 along with concurrent shows of Tooltech 2025 and Digital Manufacturing 2025, organised byIndian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) from 23 – 29 January 2025 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru once again proved to be an important event for India’s manufacturing growth.
The technologies showcased at IMTEX 2025 demonstrated the strength of the Indian machine tool industry to meet the emerging demands of various industry sectors. Live demonstrations of technologies provided Business visitors with a firsthand experience of their potential to transform entire manufacturing processes. IMTEX 2025 garnered an overwhelmingly positive response from business visitors who expressed enthusiasm for the innovations and networking opportunities.
The exhibition venue was a lively platform for business generation, with numerous deals and partnerships being forged. Companies that participated in the exhibition secured major contracts, which will drive manufacturing growth.
Speaking about India’s manufacturing prowess unveiled at IMTEX 2025, Rajendra S. Rajamane, President – IMTMA said, “Indian companies were at the forefront of showcasing products designed and developed in India to meet domestic demands.”
“Indian OEMs had a significant presence with a large number of machines to suit a wide range of applications. Companies were upbeat on their prospects of expanding their market presence in India and overseas and this is a great moment for Indian manufacturing,” he added.
Talking about the visitor response to IMTEX 2025, Jibak Dasgupta, Director General & CEO – IMTMA said, “IMTEX 2025 had a lot to offer for both exhibitors and visitors. The technological advancements showcased attracted trade delegations and international buyers, resulting in good business orders and enquiries.Also, Bangalore Metro connectivity to BIEC (Madavara Metro station) was an important factor in the increase of visitors”.
He also emphasised the enabling role of IMTEX to forge relationships between industry and academia to promote innovation and new product development as seen in developed nations,. he added.
The i2 Academia Square comprising the i2 Academia Pavilion and Manufacturing Technology Quiz Contest brought institutions and industries to a common platform. Manufacturing Technology Quiz Contest organized as part of the i2 Academia Square familiarized students with cutting-edge technologies.
JAGRUTI, an IMTMA initiative, designed to nurture students and make them industry-ready featured participants from various engineering institutions across India. Participating in these events at IMTEX is expected to positively influence the career aspirations of young professionals. Various events like International Seminar on Machining Technologies, IMTMA – Lakshya Exports Engagement with Overseas Buyers, and Auto Components Industry Transformation Summit recorded good attendance.
