“The pandemic has created experiences and trials that we had not even dreamt of. Challenges have developed affecting all spheres of life, yet man’s spirit of not giving up is what is keeping us all going.

Throughout this pandemic, Wohlhaupter India was an early mover in the shift to adapt to new technologies. Adapting to the new style of working, being available online for customer support through emails, Teams meetings, and Whatsapp videocalls, and making use of other new online technologies helped us gain advantage over others.

We made changes in our procedures to make maximum use of automation processes thereby avoiding the need for physical contact especially during these times. Using the principals of Just-in-time, we were able to improvise upon our various processes.”

Amidst these challenges, Wohlhaupter India was able to launch new products within a growing market. Recently, the Wohlhaupter 537 with an external 3ETECH digital display launched. 3ETECH  combines precision adjustment measurement in the tool with an external, dockable and detachable display that shows the adjustment setting. This user-friendly, micro-precision readout capability facilitates reliable machining process for high-precision components.

Additionally, the T-A Pro high penetration drilling system was expanded with the launch of a new high-speed steel geometry insert. This super cobalt insert works as a drill-everything insert while significantly lowering the risk for high-dollar value components. When functioning in less than ideal conditions, the high-speed steel geometry provides superior performance and chip formation in addition to process security when needed most.

Ultimately, the key during the pandemic was adapting to the needs of the customer to maintain success within a growing market. “The point is not how to move ahead; my point is to use possible available resources, brainstorm on them and move stronger ahead!”
